From Pfizer, revolution heartworm flea and tick pet med is a monthly comprehensive preventative treatment
for dogs and cats against heartworms, fleas, ticks, ear mites and sarcoptic mange.
Containing selemectin as the active ingredient, revolution also helps control
roundworms and hookworms in cats. Revolution is easy to apply too. A topical spot on liquid,
revolution is applied monthly to your dog or cat
|
for comprehensive, overall heartworm, flea and tick protection.
For your convenience, revolution is quick drying, nongreasy and waterfast so you can cuddle and
play with your pet sooner than many other topical treatments will allow.
As soon as two hours after revolution is applied it is considered water resistant, remaining effective through the month
even with moderate shampooing, swimming, rain or exposure to sunlight.
Following application, revolution enters the bloodstream through the skin to
prevent heartworm disease and treat gastrointestinal parasites. Revolution is also distributed
to the sebaceous glands in your pet's skin where it provides protection against fleas, flea eggs, ticks and mites.
 |
Although revolution is considered safe for most pets and for puppies and kittens over the age of
six weeks, it is not recommended for sick, weak, or underweight animals, and, as with any pet meds, we
always recommend visiting with your veterinarian first to determine if revolution is the right
pet meds product for your specific pet.
As with many heartworm products, revolution requires a prescription for a very important reason,
pets should be tested for heartworm infection
before starting any monthly revolution regimen.
This is because heartworm pet meds can actually do more harm than good if your pet already
has heartworms when they take them. Therefore, a heartgard heartworm prevention program
should be started only in pets found to be uninfected with heartworms to start with.
Once approved, revolution offers hard to beat, comprehensive protection for your pet.
